When we happened upon a breathtaking avant garde Modernist candelabra, we were determined to resurrect it as a chandelier and sconce with electric lamping. The ensuing process was a labor of love, as we sought to establish balance in a purposefully asymmetrical fixture and create the illusion of continuity. Transforming the piece from a sculptural base for wax-and-flame candles to an electric fixture, we continued our brand tradition of keeping the bobeches and making the candle sleeves the same finish as the rest of the piece.

Thursday quiet coffee is a surprisingly good test of how naturally this chandelier fits the living room. Normal use has made me appreciate the choice more than I did on day one. The space feels more complete while still feeling like our home.
Tuesday busy cleanup is a surprisingly good test of how naturally this chandelier fits the dining room. When friends are over, it simply feels like part of the room. The whole area feels easier to enjoy now without looking overly arranged.
Tuesday quiet dinner prep is when this chandelier feels most at home in the gathering space. I second-guessed the layout at first, but the room feels natural now. It has quietly become part of the way the room feels at the end of the day.
Around our housewarming, we added this chandelier, and it helped the new place stop feeling temporary. The overall setup feels intentional without becoming precious. It settled into the room more easily than I expected. The room needed a small adjustment around it, which was more about our layout than the light.

Warm color and super cozy shape
shopWe put this sofa in our front living room and it instantly made the space feel more finished. The caramel brown color works really well with our wood floors and older rug. It’s soft but still supportive, and the rounded shape makes it feel more unique than a regular couch. This was just a quick phone photo, but the sofa looks very close to what we hoped for.

Finally found a table that doesn’t make our room feel crowded
shopWe have a pretty small living room, so I was worried this table might feel too big, but the oval shape actually works really well with our sectional. My husband set it up right after work and I took this photo before we even cleaned up the room properly. The top is easy to style, but what I like most is that the rounded edges make it easier to walk around, especially when the kids are running through here. The gold base also looks nicer in person than I expected — not too shiny, more of a soft brushed tone. Overall, it makes the room feel finished without feeling like a showroom.

A little dressier than our usual furniture
shopWe put this in the guest room of our older house, and it made the room feel much less plain without having to redo everything else. The shell pattern is subtle in person, but it catches the lamp light in a really pretty way. The dark top is a bit deeper brown than it looked online, which actually works well with our old oak floors. One drawer was a little stiff the first few days, but it has loosened up since.
