Adding a soft charm to décor, the Pearls Pendant by Pholc is an elegant accent piece inspired by fine jewelry. Driven by the desire to create a piece that adds flair to a room in the same way that jewelry adds flair to the person, designer Monika Mulder created a light and airy piece made with a single metal frame. Its teardrop silhouette holds a set of white opal glass orbs, evoking the look of natural pearls that glow softly with warm light.

We had my eye on this light for the kitchen because it felt like the easiest choice to live with.

The entry finally looks less unfinished with this piece in place, without making everything else feel secondary. The longer it is here, the less I think of it as a new purchase. The space feels more complete while still feeling like our home. It turned out to be one of the more satisfying updates we made.

In our kitchen, the biggest difference is how much more intentional the space feels now, which made the decision feel simple. Our kids said the room finally felt finished, which made the change feel more real. The room feels finished but still relaxed.

Normal days are when this pendant light feels least like decor and most like part of the room, which made the decision feel simple. The overall setup feels intentional without becoming precious.

THE REVIEWS

Testimonials

  • Warm color and super cozy shape

We put this sofa in our front living room and it instantly made the space feel more finished. The caramel brown color works really well with our wood floors and older rug. It’s soft but still supportive, and the rounded shape makes it feel more unique than a regular couch. This was just a quick phone photo, but the sofa looks very close to what we hoped for.

  • Finally found a table that doesn’t make our room feel crowded

We have a pretty small living room, so I was worried this table might feel too big, but the oval shape actually works really well with our sectional. My husband set it up right after work and I took this photo before we even cleaned up the room properly. The top is easy to style, but what I like most is that the rounded edges make it easier to walk around, especially when the kids are running through here. The gold base also looks nicer in person than I expected — not too shiny, more of a soft brushed tone. Overall, it makes the room feel finished without feeling like a showroom.

  • A little dressier than our usual furniture

We put this in the guest room of our older house, and it made the room feel much less plain without having to redo everything else. The shell pattern is subtle in person, but it catches the lamp light in a really pretty way. The dark top is a bit deeper brown than it looked online, which actually works well with our old oak floors. One drawer was a little stiff the first few days, but it has loosened up since.
