The PH Artichoke Glass Chandelier by Louis Poulsen springs from the brilliant mind of Danish designer Poul Henningsen to blend fabulous functionality with a whimsical, glorious form. A refined rendition of the original 1958 piece crafted for Copenhagen's Langelinie Pavilionen Restaurant, its gracefully curved cast aluminum ribs hang in alignment from an upper canopy via cables. The layered design creates an aura of opulence and fine craftsmanship burnished by energy-efficient ambiance cast by the integrated LED lamping. Each 72 Sand-Blasted Glass panel is arrayed into 12 unique rows, hand-arranged by a Louis Poulsen technician under contract wherever you install the suspension, elevating the piece’s lighting into its optimum performance. The fixture also features Chrome and Aluminum accents, while each leaf conspires to diffuse direct glare from the lamping, casting a gentle downward glow while emanating a generous ambient light. This sculptural and arresting design features a luxurious, vibrant form that adds a layered yet organic charm to any space.

The living room feels most convincing when everyone is just using it normally. The everyday routine has been a better test than any first impression.

Fresh coffee felt more memorable because it was around my birthday, when this chandelier became part of the main room. The glass detail was one of the reasons this version stayed on my list. It works with the rest of the room instead of competing with it. I would make the same choice again for this room.

Relaxed afternoon at home made more sense once relatives stayed over for the weekend and this chandelier simply felt like part of the main room. The space feels more complete while still feeling like our home.

Quick lunch at home became the moment I knew the update worked because my husband said the room felt more pulled together.

Our gathering space feels more welcoming now, and this chandelier is a big reason why. It has been easy to live with on ordinary days. The overall setup feels intentional without becoming precious. I am glad we chose something that fits the way we actually live.

Our main room looks less unfinished now, and this light is a big reason why. The glass detail was one of the reasons this version stayed on my list. The longer it is here, the less I think of it as a new purchase.

THE REVIEWS

Testimonials

  • Warm color and super cozy shape

We put this sofa in our front living room and it instantly made the space feel more finished. The caramel brown color works really well with our wood floors and older rug. It’s soft but still supportive, and the rounded shape makes it feel more unique than a regular couch. This was just a quick phone photo, but the sofa looks very close to what we hoped for.

  • Finally found a table that doesn’t make our room feel crowded

We have a pretty small living room, so I was worried this table might feel too big, but the oval shape actually works really well with our sectional. My husband set it up right after work and I took this photo before we even cleaned up the room properly. The top is easy to style, but what I like most is that the rounded edges make it easier to walk around, especially when the kids are running through here. The gold base also looks nicer in person than I expected — not too shiny, more of a soft brushed tone. Overall, it makes the room feel finished without feeling like a showroom.

  • A little dressier than our usual furniture

We put this in the guest room of our older house, and it made the room feel much less plain without having to redo everything else. The shell pattern is subtle in person, but it catches the lamp light in a really pretty way. The dark top is a bit deeper brown than it looked online, which actually works well with our old oak floors. One drawer was a little stiff the first few days, but it has loosened up since.
