The Spiegel Wall Sconce from Verpan is designed by Verner Panton. This art piece is famous for its inclusion in Der Spiegel Publishing House in Hamburg, 1969. It is defined by its hemispheric look and avant-garde aesthetic. Composed of aluminum, it features a glass shade that emanates LED light. Spiegel comes with an on/off cord switch for easy control. It exudes architectural lair and is dimmable using a separately sold ELV dimmer.

Weekend breakfast was when the update clicked for me; my parents came by after the room update, and this wall sconce felt natural in the hallway. The room feels finished but still relaxed.

Quiet reading was when my dad noticed the change before I said anything, and this wall sconce felt fully at home in the hallway. Walking past it every day made me appreciate the choice more than I did on day one. It settled into the room more easily than I expected.

Quiet Friday evening came around finishing the room update, and this wall sconce helped the hallway feel complete. It has been easy to live with on ordinary days. The room feels finished but still relaxed.

THE REVIEWS

Testimonials

  • Warm color and super cozy shape

We put this sofa in our front living room and it instantly made the space feel more finished. The caramel brown color works really well with our wood floors and older rug. It’s soft but still supportive, and the rounded shape makes it feel more unique than a regular couch. This was just a quick phone photo, but the sofa looks very close to what we hoped for.

  • Finally found a table that doesn’t make our room feel crowded

We have a pretty small living room, so I was worried this table might feel too big, but the oval shape actually works really well with our sectional. My husband set it up right after work and I took this photo before we even cleaned up the room properly. The top is easy to style, but what I like most is that the rounded edges make it easier to walk around, especially when the kids are running through here. The gold base also looks nicer in person than I expected — not too shiny, more of a soft brushed tone. Overall, it makes the room feel finished without feeling like a showroom.

  • A little dressier than our usual furniture

We put this in the guest room of our older house, and it made the room feel much less plain without having to redo everything else. The shell pattern is subtle in person, but it catches the lamp light in a really pretty way. The dark top is a bit deeper brown than it looked online, which actually works well with our old oak floors. One drawer was a little stiff the first few days, but it has loosened up since.
