A delicate and airy statement piece for modern homes. The Tempo Chandelier 12’ from ATELIER de TROUPE has the power to transfix through its unique and expressive silhouette. Two slender rods drop from an elongated canopy above. Each rod supports a series of additional rods, creating a symmetrical structure that spans widely through straight and curved lines. At the end of each rod is a handblown glass orb containing an integrated LED light, emitting a warm, ambient illumination.

Dinner dishes happened around finishing the room update, and this chandelier became one of the details that made the place feel personal. When friends are over, it simply feels like part of the room. Normal use has made me appreciate the choice more than I did on day one.

Slow evening at home showed me that this chandelier works just as well when the open living area is busy as when it is quiet. The everyday routine has been a better test than any first impression. I like it most when the room is being lived in rather than perfectly styled. It turned out to be one of the more satisfying updates we made.

Unhurried Wednesday evening was when the room update stopped being my project and became something my mom enjoyed too. The room now feels considered without feeling staged. I like it most when the room is being lived in rather than perfectly styled.

THE REVIEWS

Testimonials

  • Warm color and super cozy shape

We put this sofa in our front living room and it instantly made the space feel more finished. The caramel brown color works really well with our wood floors and older rug. It’s soft but still supportive, and the rounded shape makes it feel more unique than a regular couch. This was just a quick phone photo, but the sofa looks very close to what we hoped for.

  • Finally found a table that doesn’t make our room feel crowded

We have a pretty small living room, so I was worried this table might feel too big, but the oval shape actually works really well with our sectional. My husband set it up right after work and I took this photo before we even cleaned up the room properly. The top is easy to style, but what I like most is that the rounded edges make it easier to walk around, especially when the kids are running through here. The gold base also looks nicer in person than I expected — not too shiny, more of a soft brushed tone. Overall, it makes the room feel finished without feeling like a showroom.

  • A little dressier than our usual furniture

We put this in the guest room of our older house, and it made the room feel much less plain without having to redo everything else. The shell pattern is subtle in person, but it catches the lamp light in a really pretty way. The dark top is a bit deeper brown than it looked online, which actually works well with our old oak floors. One drawer was a little stiff the first few days, but it has loosened up since.
