Like artful hands of a clock, the Tempo Wall Sconce by ATELIER de TROUPE boats two brass bars connected at a single axis. A vertical bar is affixed to a wall by a square backplate and geometric fastener, which a secondary bar attaches to the first by a cylindrical connector. Handblown glass globes at the end of each piece glow with a warm, energy-efficient LED light that brings life to any room in the home.

Evening chores felt more memorable because it was around finishing the room update, when this wall sconce became part of the entry. The room feels finished but still relaxed. It settled into the room more easily than I expected. It turned out to be one of the more satisfying updates we made.

Tuesday's busy evening made more sense once friends came over one evening and this wall sconce simply felt like part of the entry. Walking past it every day made me appreciate the choice more than I did on day one.

Busy Thursday evening became the moment I knew the update worked because my dad said the room felt more pulled together. I like it most when the room is being lived in rather than perfectly styled. The longer it is here, the less I think of it as a new purchase. It turned out to be one of the more satisfying updates we made.

THE REVIEWS

Testimonials

  • Warm color and super cozy shape

We put this sofa in our front living room and it instantly made the space feel more finished. The caramel brown color works really well with our wood floors and older rug. It’s soft but still supportive, and the rounded shape makes it feel more unique than a regular couch. This was just a quick phone photo, but the sofa looks very close to what we hoped for.

  • Finally found a table that doesn’t make our room feel crowded

We have a pretty small living room, so I was worried this table might feel too big, but the oval shape actually works really well with our sectional. My husband set it up right after work and I took this photo before we even cleaned up the room properly. The top is easy to style, but what I like most is that the rounded edges make it easier to walk around, especially when the kids are running through here. The gold base also looks nicer in person than I expected — not too shiny, more of a soft brushed tone. Overall, it makes the room feel finished without feeling like a showroom.

  • A little dressier than our usual furniture

We put this in the guest room of our older house, and it made the room feel much less plain without having to redo everything else. The shell pattern is subtle in person, but it catches the lamp light in a really pretty way. The dark top is a bit deeper brown than it looked online, which actually works well with our old oak floors. One drawer was a little stiff the first few days, but it has loosened up since.
